American HealthCare Academy Introduction Video:

Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is a leading cause of death among adults in the United States. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) dramatically increases an SCA patient’s chance of survival.

CPR is a combination of chest compressions and breaths and provides critical blood flow and oxygen to the heart and brain. If you perform CPR within three to five (3-5) minutes of collapse, it reduces the chance of permanent damage and helps save lives.

This course follows the most recent and updated 2020 Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and follows updated ECC guidelines, and has been designed to help you acquire the skills you will need to effectively respond in an emergency situation.
