Dentists and dental assistants usually need a Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification. Required skills include: Adult, child, and infant CPR, along with the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and bag-valve-mask. Most dental offices may also need a First Aid course.
Summary of Board Requirement:
Licensure requirements for dentists are set by the state board of dentistry, also known as the board of dental examiners or the licensing board. Most of these state boards require a Healthcare level CPR/ BLS certification.

The American Dental Association’s Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) provides ADA members and the dental community a mechanism to select quality continuing dental education (CE) with confidence and promotes the continuous improvement of continuing dental education both nationally and globally. Post Graduate Institute of Medicine (PIM) is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider and American Health Care Academy offers this CE activity through joint providership with PIM.
Summary of Board Requirement:
AGD requires dental professionals to maintain their CPR certification for Healthcare Providers, including relevant practical skills. The AGD program Approval for Continuing Education evaluates and approves it. The AGD Accredited organization list is here.

142 Medical Emergency Training and CPR
Training to ensure appropriate action in the event of an unexpected injury or illness occurring during dental treatment or within the dental office. Training topics may include medical emergency prevention; development of an action plan, recognition of patient distress and emergency drugs and equipment.
Summary of Board Requirement:
To earn DANB certification, you’ll need to hold a current CPR, BLS or ACLS certificate. You will also need to keep your CPR certificate current to renew your DANB certification. The DANB Approved CPR Providers list is here.

Easy, informative, inexpensive and quick. Online chat assistance available for any issues. I appreciated a way to get re-certified without attending class during Covid. Also the modified info to give CPR when the patient may have Covid.
The CPR/AED, First Aid course was full of helpful information and easy to follow. The videos helped with visual instruction. The ability to take this online and not have to be in a class for a whole day was beneficial to me.
It was an amazing experience so easy and fast with in an hr more or less I was certified it explained everything with so much detail great program I don’t believe why ppl don’t get certified you could learn so much and save some ones life 10/10 would recommend!
