Child Care and Daycares in Delaware usually need a Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification. Required skills include; Adult, child and infant CPR, AED, and use of a bag-valve-mask.

Current certifications in CPR including a skills demonstration and first aid for the ages of the children in care. Applicants for large family homes are exempt from this requirement if not serving as a staff member;
Summary of Board Requirement:
The Child Development Associate® National Credentialing Program of the Council of Professional Recognition requires child development associates to have current certification in First Aid and both Infant and Child (Pediatric) CPR.
Board Statement:
The Council accepts training offered by nationally recognized training organizations (such as the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association) as well as other training agencies.
The Council accepts Blended (online + virtual hands on assessment) Courses for Preschool, Infant-Toddler and Family Child Care Settings.

The CPR/AED, First Aid course was full of helpful information and easy to follow. The videos helped with visual instruction. The ability to take this online and not have to be in a class for a whole day was beneficial to me.
