Who We Are: What We Do:

The American Health Care Academy provides training in CPR/AED and First Aid, based on American Red Cross Guidelines. Our instructors are always accessible and provide excellent service to all clients

Our CPR/AED and First Aid classes follow guidelines set by ECC 2005 standards and the Red Cross curriculum. These guidelines are mandated by most states for the use of an CPR/AED certification. Our classes are recognized by government organizations, schools, hospitals, nursing homes and many other institutions that require Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AEDand First Aid certifications.

We offer comprehensive online classes with experienced instructors. Our classes, which are a combination of online reading material and live video demonstrations, are a popular alternative to the traditional class format.

Our online Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED and First Aid training classes offer high quality online instruction for people who prefer not to spend 4-9 hours in a classroom setting. The class is fast, convenient and educational!

American Health Care Academy Volunteers Participate in
Dallas Partnership Walk to Take a Step in Ending Global Poverty

Dallas, Texas, October 4, 2008
– American Health Care Academy partnered with and actively took part in this year’s Dallas Partnership Walk, an initiative of Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A., held at the Dallas City Hall Plaza. More than 4,500 participants attended to walk three kilometers to support the annually held event that raises awareness and funds to alleviate global poverty.

YouthVolunteersAmerican Health Care Academy volunteers were amongst the scores of teams from corporations, universities, schools and other community organizations. Academy youth volunteers helped in the Village in Action, where participants have an opportunity to engage in activities and learn how people in developing countries create solutions to overcome challenges of low income, poor health conditions and limited educational opportunities.

Through volunteerism and sponsorship American Health Care Academy supports the 2008 theme for the Walk, Planting Our Future." As the Foundation embraces the principle of helping people to help themselves, American Health Care Academy strengthens its commitment to reach out to train and certify as many as possible in CPR and First Aid.

Partnership Walk, now in its 14th year in the U.S., is a PartnershipsInAction initiative giving individuals the opportunity to actively take part in advancing human dignity and peace around the globe through volunteerism, awareness-raising and contributions. PartnershipsInAction represent Aga Foundation U.S.A.’s (AKF USA) growing portfolio of programs. Since 1995, PartnershipsInAction events have attracted over 250,000 participants and raised over $29 million nationwide. One-hundred percent of funds raised at Partnership Walk go directly to the projects supported by the Foundation; not a cent is spent on administrative costs. AKF USA is part of the Aga Khan Development Network (www.akdn.org), a private, non-profit organization. Please visit www.PartnershipsInAction.org/walk for more details.
